Jelena Mitic is the head of global research and pre-development in automation at Siemens. She leads an international team of researchers spread across several regions, including China, India, Germany, and the United States.
Jelena joined Siemens’ central research and pre-development unit in 2005 and has since worked in different roles and research areas, spanning the realms of Pervasive Computing, Industrial Internet of Things, Autonomous Systems, Software defined Automation, and AI for Automation and Engineering, for industry, mobility, and infrastructure.

Jelena received her M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunication in 2000 from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš, Serbia, and her M.Sc. degree in Communications and Media Engineering in 2003 from University of Applied sciences Offenburg, Germany.
