Ivana Tosic Rodgers

Ivana Tošić Rodgers is a Senior Staff Research Scientist and Manager at Google, where she is one of the ML/AI perception leads for Android XR. In this role, Ivana leads XR eye-tracking efforts, focusing on solving real-world challenges to enable next-generation natural input and interaction.

Previously, Ivana was a Research Group Leader at Ricoh Innovations Corp. in Menlo Park, California, where she led the Computational Optics Group. From 2009 to 2011, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience at UC Berkeley.

Ivana holds a PhD in Computer and Communication Sciences from EPFL, Switzerland (2009). Prior to joining EPFL, she earned her Dipl.-Ing. degree in Telecommunications from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering at the University of Niš, Serbia.

Throughout her career, Ivana has served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Computational Imaging and IEEE Transactions on Image Processing. She has also been a Technical Committee Member for major conferences, including ICIP, ICASSP, and EUSIPCO. Ivana’s broad research interests span machine learning, artificial intelligence, AR/VR, computational imaging, medical imaging, multi-view/3D image processing, binocular vision, and scene understanding.
