  • Dejan N. Milić was born in Niš, Serbia in 1972.
  • He received Dipl.-Ing., Mag.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš, Serbia, in 1997, 2001 and 2005, respectively.
  • He is currently a faculty member of Electronic Engineering at the same University and a Full Professor with the Department of Telecommunications, where he teaches optical communications, coherent communication systems, and other courses in the field of telecommunications. Other areas of research include communication theory, modulation and wireless communications.
  • He has completed several short-term exchange mobility stays within Erasmus+ program (Technical University of Bialystok, Poland, 2017; Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, 2018; MCAST, Malta, 2018; University of Vigo, Spain, 2019).
  • Currently, he is the head of Telecommunication Systems Laboratory (TSLAB) and Smart Communications Laboratory (SmartCOMM) at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš.
  • He is a member of IEEE Communications Society, and Vice-President of Serbia and Montenegro IEEE ComSoc Chapter. He is also a member of IEEE ITSoc, SP, CAS, and Photonics Society.
  • In two terms, he has served as a member of the Council of Faculty of Electronic Engineering, and he currently serves as the chair of University of Niš Council of Ethics Committee.
