The number of available spots for Studies in English at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering Niš in the current academic year is given in the Call for Admission to the First Year of Undergraduate Academic Studies of Electrical Engineering and Computing in English language (Link).

 

STUDY ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE

In order to be enrolled for Studies in English at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering Niš, candidates need to full-fill the following steps:

  1. Meet the high school diploma requirements and complete the enrollment application form, i.e. complete the application procedure.
  2. Pass the Faculty of Electronic Engineering Niš entrance exam that consists of math test. The ranking will be based on the scoring system.
  3. Complete the registration procedure.
  4. Complete the upon arrival procedure.
  5. All original documents submitted online during the enrollment procedure must be provided to the Office of Student Affairs upon arrival.

A. APPLICATION PROCEDURE

In order to be considered for admission the following is required for all candidates:

  1. Filled out, printed and signed ENROLLMENT APPLICATION FORM.
  2. Get familiar with the Notice on the processing of personal data.
  3. Filled out, printed and signed Consent to the processing of personal data.
  4. Birth certificate and notarized translation into English (if the certificate is not issued in English).
  5. Provide a certificate that demonstrates completion of high school degree or equivalent. Original transcripts of all years from the High School and a High School Diploma accompanied by notarized translation into Serbian or English. Note: for Gymnasium one needs translations of final grade certificate and Diploma; for high school in four-years duration one needs translations of the certificate of the last grade completed and the certificate/diploma of the matriculation or final exam passed.
  6. Photocopy of the passport (page with photo and personal data).
  7. Certificate demonstrating competence in English language (International language certificate). In case the applicants do not have a certificate, they have to pass an English language exam (written test and oral exam) before the Commission appointed by the Dean of the Faculty. Applicants from native English speaking countries are excluded from this requirement. Faculty of Electronic Engineering Niš in its admission practice complies with federal non-discrimination laws.
  8. Proof of application fee payment (Payment instructions can be found in the FEES section).

B. ETRANCE EXAM

Once the candidates complete the entrance exam, the rank scoring will be done and the list of accepted candidates created. For more information please refer to ADMISSION SCORING SYSTEM given below.

C. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

For the registration, accepted candidates need the following:

  1. Filled out, printed and signed REGISTRATION FORM for entry in the first year
  2. Personal photo in digital format.
  3. Proof of payment of the tuition fee (Payment instructions can be found in the FEES section).
  4. Health insurance for the current academic year (international health Insurance, issued in student's own country, or Serbia by a relevant insurance company)

D. UPON ARRIVAL PROCEDURE

For the upon arrival procedure, accepted candidates need the following:

  1. Student's Course and Grade Book ("Index"). (Available at the Faculty)
  2. Medical certificates (Students Policlinics Niš).
  3. Students' visa issued by the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
  4. Original transcripts of all years from the High School and a High School Diploma accompanied by notarized translation into Serbian. Please refer to the RECOGNITION OF FOREIGN EDUCATION DOCUMENTS.

ADMISSION SCORING SYSTEM

The admissions process for the studies in English at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering is competitive, based on the scoring system. The applicants are accepted on the basis of the results from the entrance examination consisting of test in Mathematics and the cumulative grade point average (GPA) from the High school (Gymnasium or four-year high school).

The maximum number of points that each candidate can get during admission procedure is 100 (equals to 100%). Out of 100 points, 60 points (60% of total score) are awarded based on the entrance examination results (see below), while the remaining 40 points (40% of total score) are awarded based on the cumulative GPA from the Secondary/High School.

The candidates are considered to have passed the entrance exam, if they have at least 31 points out of 60 possible (Passing mark for math test is 51%).

Once the candidates complete the exam, the scoring will be done and the ranking-list of candidates created. Among all those who passed the entrance exam, as many candidates as there are available spots will be accepted and enrolled in the first year of the studies in English. The exact number of available spots is given in the Call for admission to the first year of undergraduate academic studies of Electrical Engineering and Computing in English language.


RECOGNITION OF FOREIGN EDUCATION DOCUMENTS

Recognition of a foreign school document is a procedure by which a qualification obtained abroad is equated with a corresponding, valid public document of the Republic of Serbia, which gives an individual the right to continue education.

The request is being submitted at the Agency for Qualifications of the Republic of Serbia (Recognition of foreign educational documents/Recognition of a foreign secondary school documents)

The following documents must be submitted along with the request:

  1. Original certificate (or certified copy) of the last completed grade of secondary school abroad, i.e. original certificate (or certified copy) of a completed secondary school, which, if necessary, must be certified with an "Apostille" seal by the competent authority in the country where the document was issued. In the case of submitting a certified copy, it is necessary to bring the originals for inspection when picking up the decision on the request.
  2. Three samples of documents translated and notarized by an authorized court interpreter in the Republic of Serbia. The court interpreter is obliged by the law of the Republic of Serbia to issue three samples of translated and notarized documents. Two copies are to be presented at the Agency for Qualifications and one copy at the Department for Students’ Affairs. Note: a. for Gymnasium: a certificate of the last completed grade or final grade and high school graduation Diploma; b. for high school in four-year duration: the certificate of the last grade completed and the certificate/diploma of the matriculation or final exam passed are translated.

 

VISA

If you require an additional signed letter from Faculty of Electronic Engineering to demonstrate study enrollment for your visa application, please contact the Office of Student Affairs about your request. Once the candidates complete the Registration procedure, they will receive Visa letter.
